Description

Job Title: Assistant Production Manager

Overview: As an Assistant Production Manager in an SPC (Stone Plastic Composite)

flooring factory, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process of

SPC flooring products. Your role involves managing production operations, ensuring.

quality standards are met and optimizing processes to maximize efficiency and output.

Responsibilities:

Production Planning Support:

• Assist in developing and maintaining production schedules based on

general production schedule.

• Coordinate with the production team to ensure production targets are met

and deadlines are achieved.

• Optimize production schedules to meet delivery deadlines and customer

demand.

Quality Control:

• Implement production process quality control procedures to ensure SPC

flooring products meet company standards and customer specifications.

• Coordinate with quality control department to implement corrective

actions to address quality issues and minimize defects.

Process Optimization:

• Continuously evaluate manufacturing processes to identify areas for

improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

• Implement Lean manufacturing principles and other improvement

methodologies to optimize workflows and reduce waste.

• Work closely with the engineering team to optimize equipment

performance and reliability.

Team Management:

• Lead and supervise production staff, including machine operators,

technicians, and quality control inspectors.

• Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and

capabilities of the production team.

• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous

improvement.

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company

policies to maintain a safe working environment.

• Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions to

mitigate hazards.

• Provide safety training to production staff and enforce safety protocols.

Budget Management:

• Monitor material consumption and identify opportunities to reduce costs

and improve profitability.

• Provide input for capital expenditure planning related to production

equipment and facilities.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other departments such as sales, logistics, quality control

and maintenance to ensure alignment of production activities with overall.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or college graduate with more experience) in engineering,

or a similar manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of flooring production processes of understanding of

SPC flooring.

• Familiarity with techniques specific to flooring or SPC flooring manufacturing.

• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and

develop a diverse workforce.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process

optimization and continuous improvement.

• Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing

setting.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate

effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
